Ellora Heritage Resort first opened its doors a few years ago, and has been adding amenities and natural beauty to the site ever since. Our guests often comment that they wish they could stay longer. We are a small family-owned business with a strong desire to make every guest feel happy and comfortable during their stay. The remarkable Ellora Caves are a short walk down our road, and Aurangabad (pop. a million plus) is only an hour away. The nearest village in the history-rich Ellora region is fascinating, ancient Khultabad, population about 12,700. This area has a bounty of historic, cultural, and archaeological marvels. CLEAN AND GREENOne guest called us “the cleanest hotel in India.” We hope you will agree. Ellora Heritage Resort is striving to become the cleanest and greenest resort in India. You may help yourself to free organically grown fruit from our orchard, and admire our large solar array. We drive a hybrid car. Almost all our restaurant food is locally sourced. We encourage guests to refill reusable bottles from our large water filter. We will happily replace your sheets and towels as often as you like, but as laundry demands water, detergents, and electricity, we prefer to change linen only as requested. One step at a time we are reducing our carbon footprint, with recycling and composting and permaculture concepts such as biochar. We hope to demonstrate all the ways a fine resort can be kind to its home planet.
