What to Bring
Ellora enjoys balmy temperatures year-round. The rainy season is from June to September (though many days are dry; the waterfalls are spectacular). Temps are usually in the 80sF/27+C in the daytime and 60sF/16+C at night; nights are cooler, November – January. In March – June, temps can rise to 100F/38C or so in the day, and may be in the upper 70sF (26+C) at night. This area attracts tourists from all over the world, but we recommend visitors dress conservatively to show respect for the local culture.
For information about plane, train and bus schedules, we recommend https://www.90di.com
Bus to Aurangabad: We recommend the first-class “Shivneri” express commuter buses operated by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation between major cities within the state. Bus Aurangabad to Ellora: Numerous services run between Ellora and the Aurangabad Central Bus Station, but Maharashtra State Tourism Corporation (MTDC) is most reliable. We are located close to the MTDC bus parking area.

By Air to Aurangabad: The domestic airport (IXU) offers daily flights to and from many Indian cities. It is one to two hours away from us, depending on traffic.

anywhere in Aurangabad, or you
may call to arrange hotel pickup in advance for a
reasonable fee. We have
two comfortable five-passenger cars, one a hybrid.
